Dr. Anastasia Khawaja (she/her)

Assistant Professor

Dr. Anastasia Khawaja (she/her) is an assistant professor of English living in Ramallah, Palestine. She currently teaches composition courses online for the University of South Florida. She is the Sig chair of the English Specific Purposes Sig and conference chair for TEFL Kuwait. She is also the past chair of the membership professional council. Dr. Khawaja's research interests focus around building justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion (JEDI) in classroom pedagogy and breaking the binary understanding of the Israel/Palestine region by exploring language use and language representation mainly via the linguistic landscape.
