Hala started her career as a school teacher, then joined the British Council in 2010 where she taught for 7 years before she got promoted to Academic Manager for a project which supported Syrian refugees in 5 countries in MENA, then Academic Manager for the English for Interfaith Dialogue programme then head of English programmes for Egypt where she leads on the professional development programmes of public schools teachers at the ministry of education and Al-azhar.

Hala has a strong background in communicative and student centred teaching and training as well as course design, material development, research and project management. She’s been a speaker in many national and international conferences. She also holds a number of UK qualifications including a master’s degree in teaching and education from the University of Nottingham. Hala enjoys sports and is currently taking guitar lessons.
