Piero Carlini, from Makawao, Hawaii, long time a teacher of ESL to newcomers to America, is now based in Banja Luka at the University of Baja Luka, teaching composition and literature to students in the Philology Faculty. An avid hiker, his favorite places to wander in a natural setting are Iceland, Ecuador and Nepal, though he looks forward to a return to the Bernese Oberland this summer. He lives with his wife and twin daughters in Bosnia Herzegovina.
