I’ve been thinking and planning this for a while. Some of you even heard me talk about it 5 years ago, but I’ve decided that today is the day. I’m pulling the trigger, making a plan and making this happen. My life has taken several twists and turns since I first came up with the idea of creating a platform for English Language Teachers (ELTs).
At first, it was going to be an online class, but where would I put it? How would I recruit students? And how would they pay for it when many of the teachers I wanted to help couldn’t afford the professional development they needed?
Then I decided that I wanted to create a podcast. This podcast has had several mental variations. It was going to be interviews with people in the field that I admired, and then it was going to be me reading blogs that other professionals had written (as they do in Optimal Living Daily), and it may include those things, but what I think will be most helpful, is a podcast of teaching tips. Things I, and other teachers, have learned throughout our careers that I can share with teachers on the podcast and make their day a little easier, but where to start?
So today, I decided to start by writing a blog. So here it is. And so we begin…
