Alberto Luis August is an Assistant Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies with the School of Education at the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM). He is the founder and owner of La Isla Cariñosa Academy, a preschool and elementary school in Belize. For 3 years, he served as the Dean of the School of Education at Galen University where he successfully re-launched a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education program for educators. For 4 years, he carried out the role of Assistant Professor and the National Coordinator for the Teachers’ Internship program at the University of Belize. Currently, he teaches undergraduate and graduate modules in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Singapore with UNM. He holds a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and a Master Degree in Secondary Education from the University of North Florida. He has 30 years of teaching experience at the primary, secondary, and tertiary level of education.
